On June 14th we will take a drive to Ragley Farm in East Sooke and visit Rob and Josie for a BBQ. We will gather at the parking lot next to Princess Auto in Langford and leave about 11:30 for the farm at 5717 East Sooke Road arriving around noon. The club will supply a hamburger lunch and to keep it simple please supply your own drinks .  In order to buy the correct amount of fixings PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND. Maybe a few members would like to bring a dessert?? I also suggest that you consider inviting a friend to join us.
July 18 & 19






















We receive a mixed response to the July suggestions of an overnight trip for a car show in Powell River on the 18th of July and/or the Oak Bay Car Show on the on July 19th.  So to be very Canadian Howard suggests we don’t make a decision and go for both.
Those who are interested in the trip to the Powell River Showtime & Shine can leave on Friday (July 17th) and catch the afternoon ferry from Comox (We will aim for the 3:15 p.m. ferry from Little River – RESERVE your space) and stay at either the Old Courthouse Inn or the Island View Lodge in Powell River Old Town which is close to the car show the next day (The Patricia Theatre). We can return to the Island on Saturday evening or Sunday.  If you are going to Powell River book your room soon as the hotels have little space available. See below for the show pre-registration info which is highly recommended.
For those of you who would like to attend the 5th Annual Showtime & Shine on Saturday, July 18th from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Powell River, this is an opportunity to pre-register for $15.  You are encouraged to pre-register as space is limited. “Day-of” registrations will be $20. Cash payments can be  made to Paul or Petra or by e-transfer to [email protected] (automatic deposit). If you are paying by e-transfer please specify in the Message Box, your first and last name and your vehicle year, make and model plus a contact number and the city you are from. This make it much easier to record your information into the system.

Oak Bay Show and Shine July 19th.  You will want to pre-register for the show which costs $25 and make sure you understand how to find the entrance. Info and registration here:   Welcome – Oak Bay Collector Car Show (Click to follow the link) .  Gates open at 8 with the show starting at 10 and they will require us to stay until 3. If we have 8 or more cars attending they will place us together. Please let us know if you will attend so Howard can make contact with the host re parking us together.  Howard will send an email out closer to the date if he can determine where we can group prior to entrance. Hewill help coordinating both events so let him know if you decide to attend either event.
August 9A low key drive and lunch event will be arranged for this date, details in the next VISTA.
August 29 & 30The Pacific Can-Am Zone Meet will be hosted by the Foothills Chapter (Calgary).  Click here for details and registration form.
September 12
Will get us together for Drive Your Studebaker Day for a trip to Port Alberni.

Anne Christenson will host our annual Soup and Sandwich get together. Date to be confirmed.
November 1Our AGM most likely at our usual location in Langford.
